parkrun

parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. 

parkrun is a free timed 5k and takes place every Saturday morning across the globe. There are currently 80 parkrun events around the country. Join the new route in Davis starting Saturday, May 24, at 8 a.m. Meet at Mace Ranch Park for a 5k walk, run, jog or roll. All are welcome!

How do I participate?

parkrun is free and you only need to register once so that they can get timed and covered by insurance. This registration covers walking, jogging, running, volunteering or a combination.

Where can I park?

Parking is available at Korematsu Elementary or the Explorit Science Center.

Can I bring my dog?

Well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome.

Are kids allowed? 

  • Children can accompany participants. Children over 11 can run unaccompanied.
  • Children under 4 who aren’t in a stroller are not allowed.

Where does the route go?

The course starts and ends at Mace Ranch Park and goes onto the Wildhorse Agricultural Buffer. There is a turnaround point north of the golf course. Preview the route here

What about accessibility? 

parkrun aims to make events as accessible as possible. Whether you are walking, jogging, or running, parkrun courses are carefully selected to accommodate a range of abilities. However, the organizers cannot determine the suitability or otherwise of the parkrun course for wheelchairs, as this varies greatly depending on the skill and experience of the individual.
